Sharks Underwater Grill and Bar – SeaWorld Orlando

Sharks Underwater Grill and Bar is one of the best in-park table service dining venues not only at SeaWorld Orlando, but also in any of the Orlando area theme parks.  This full service restaurant features a variety of entrees like pan seared scallops, filet mignon and Miso roasted Atlantic Salmon. There is also a wide range of wines and specialty cocktails.

Located near the Mako roller coaster in the same building as the Shark Encounter, Sharks Underwater Grill is open daily and reservation for the same day can be made at the host station starting at 11:00 AM.

The restaurant is the winner of a number of awards including the 2013 Silver Spoon Award by Orlando Life Magazine and received outstanding ratings in the Zagat 2014 Orlando Restaurant Survey. The dining experience is very unique and guests feel like they are sitting in the middle of a shark infested aquarium.  Massive windows facing the aquarium offer spectacular views of a number of different types of sharks along with numerous different species of marine life.

Shark Encounter

One of the most interesting animal experiences at SeaWorld Orlando is the Shark Encounter.  This attraction is a walk-thru experience that combines the viewing of a number of aquariums along with an up close view of sharks in one of the world’s largest underwater viewing tunnels.

Guests travel under a massive shark (and other marine species) aquarium that doubles as the transparent viewing “wall” for Sharks Underwater Grille.

Where to stay when visiting SeaWorld Orlando?

Local area hotels book up quickly so it is our recommendation that you get your reservations as early as possible.  Crowd levels are typically higher than usual due not only to this special event, but also school holidays as well as “Spring Break”.  And in the spring time there are always large conventions coming to Orlando where many hotels block off rooms for the convention attendees.

If you are planning on consuming a number of adult beverages, we would highly recommend you stay a hotel within walking distance or with a transportation service.

The Residence Inn Orlando SeaWorld

The Residence Inn Orlando SeaWorld is less than a mile from the front gate.  This hotel features family-sized apartment-style suites with kitchens and is one of the more affordable hotels in the SeaWorld area.  Features include complimentary breakfast, 24-hour fitness center, resort pool with hot tub, barbeque grills and a sports court.
