Fantasmic! is the premier show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and one of the best nighttime spectaculars of any theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort.
After a long layoff, live performances of Fantasmic! have returned as of November 3, 2022. This amazing show is located in the outdoor Hollywood Hills Amphitheater at the end of Sunset Boulevard and adjacent to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride. The amphitheater seats more than 6,000 guests but due to the popularity of this show, it’s highly recommended to find a seat at least an hour before showtime.
The Fantasmic! story is based on a dream by Mickey Mouse, where he is a “sorcerer’s apprentice” that uses magic to control water and color in an effort to fight the evil Disney Villains.

Disney announced the reopening of Fantasmic! for Thursday, November 3, 2022.
What time is the Fantasmic! show held?
Although there were two Fantasmic! showtimes were offered for the first few nights after reopening, there will be only one show at 8:00 PM started on November 8, 2022. From November 14th to November 30th, there will be one show that starts at 9:00 PM.
How long is the Fantasmic! show?
The entire Fantasmic! show is less than 30 minutes in length.
Does the new Fantasmic! show have a different story?
The most recent version of Fantasmic! which opened in November 2022 features new or re-imagined scenes from movies including “Moana”, “Frozen II”, “Mulan” and “Pocahontas”.

Since Fantasmic! is one of the most popular nighttime spectacular at Walt Disney World, it is highly recommended that you get to the Hollywood Hill Amphitheater at least one hour prior to showtime.

About the Fantasmic! Show
One of the best ways to finish a day when visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios is to watch the Fantasmic! show at the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater. This thrilling show features amazing special effects, pyrotechnics, lighting, fountains, music and your favorite Disney characters.

Where to stay when visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios?
There are a number of great hotel options in the Epcot Resorts Area as well as nearby off-site hotels at the Bonnet Creek Resort. During peak times these hotels can book up quickly so try to make advance reservations as early as possible.

The Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
The Walt Disney World Dolphin is one of our favorite hotels in Orlando and it is our “go to” when we are planning on visiting both Epcot and / or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This amazing property is within walking distance to both theme parks or guests can take one of the water taxi “Friendship” boats that pick up and drop off right behind the hotel.
The Dolphin is affiliated with the adjacent Walt Disney World Swan and the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve. All three hotels share amenities and dining venues.
The hotel features 1,514 rooms & suites, Five heated pools including a resort style grotto pool with waterfalls and a water slide; two lap pools, a spring pool, a kiddie pool, four hot tubs and two poolside restaurants, fitness center, full service spa and extensive dining options.
Hotel rates range from less than $250.00 per night to more than $500.00 per night depending on the time a year. There is a $40 per day resort fee plus a 6% resort tax on top of a 6.5% sales tax. The Walt Disney World Dolphin is also part of the Marriott family of hotels so guests can earn and use points during their stay.
The Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek
The Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is less than 10 minutes from the front gate of both Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Epcot. This 1,001 room AAA Four Diamond hotel is located within the Bonnet Creek resort and shares amenities with the adjacent Waldorf Astoria Orlando.
Amenities are extensive and include a lagoon-style outdoor swimming pool complex featuring a 3-acre lazy river, water slide, poolside bar & grill, private cabanas and daily family activities. Hotel guests also have access to the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club which features a par-72, 7,108 yard championship golf course.
Hotel rates range from around $275 per night to more than $500 per night depending on the room type and the date of the stay. There is a $45 per night resort fee to go along with the resort and sales tax.
