The Walt Disney World Resort is one of the most visited destinations in Florida. Travelers from all over the world come to visit it’s four theme parks, two water parks, golf courses, amazing restaurants and it’s many other features.
While there are dozens of on-site hotel options to consider with visiting Disney, there are a number of reasons to stay at an off-site hotel which include rewards programs, locational factors and the possibility of visiting other theme parks like Universal Orlando and SeaWorld. As a result, we compiled a list of our top off-site hotels that are within a short distance from Walt Disney World.
While looking at our list, you may be wondering why we did not include the Four Seasons Orlando, the Walt Disney World Dolphin, the Walt Disney World Swan and the Swan Reserve. Although not owned by Disney, all four of these hotels are located directly on the grounds of Walt Disney World and include similar benefits to hotels like early theme park entry. As a result, we did not include any of these four properties on our list.
In addition to excluding those four properties located on Disney property, we did not include any timeshare or vacation clubs (even though many can be rented by the night just like hotels). Our objective was an “apples-to-apples” comparison.
The following list is what we feel are the Top 10 best off-site near the Walt Disney World Resort for 2023. This list was updated as of December 2022.
