Beaches & Cream Soda Shop | Walt Disney World

Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is one of the best casual dining restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort.  Located just outside of the pool area at Disney’s Yacht Club & Beach Club resorts, the amazing eatery features some of the best desserts throughout Disney World.

Open daily from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, this restaurant is themed like an old school soda shop that could be found in Atlantic City or any of the northeastern  / mid-Atlantic seaside towns. While the dining area is not overly large, it’s quite comfortable and features a original jukebox as well as both counter & table seating.

The classic American style menu is fairly limited in nature but includes burgers, grilled cheese, chicken sandwiches, a classic Ruben and french dip, all of which is prepared in an open kitchen. In addition to the main menu, there is also a kids menu that features mac & cheese, a turkey sandwich, burgers and more.  However, one of the main reasons to visit Beaches & Cream is for the desserts including the 8 scoops of ice cream sundae known as the “Kitchen Sink”.

Reservations are accepted at this restaurant and it is available for one table service credit for the Disney Dining Plan (which returns in 2024).

Our Thoughts

Our meal during a recent visit included the burger and the grilled cheese sandwich with soup.  Both of which were prepared perfectly and exactly what one would expect at a restaurant in Walt Disney World.

Including our annual passholder discount of 20% (which amounted to $8.16), we paid $34.74 for two entrees and one ice tea (plus a glass of water). Overall, we considered Beaches & Cream a fairly good value for the money – especially for a sit down restaurant at Walt Disney World.

We passed on dessert at there was just two of us but you can bet that the next time we go back to this restaurant, we will order the Kitchen Sink!

Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts

Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts are part of the Disney’s Boardwalk Resort Hotels and Villas.  These amazing resorts are within walking distance to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  Both are part of DVC (Disney Vacation Club) and have some of the best amenities of any resort at Walt Disney World.

Once of our favorite hotel amenities is Stormalong Bay which is a three-acre water playground that is shared by Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts.  This area includes an enormous resort pool with lazy river, two kid pools, three hot tubs, poolside cabanas and a large pirate ship themed water slide.
